Overview

The SDC E75PSQE1Q is a standalone electronic cylindrical lockset built for access control on interior or exterior doors where you need keypad entry without a networked panel. This model is keypad-only, powered by either four AA alkaline batteries (good for 100,000 cycles) or hardwired 12VDC, making it flexible for retrofit or new build. It controls two doors maximum and is built around SDC's motorized latchbolt — handles 1¾" to 2½" door thickness with a standard 2¾" backset. Operates reliably from -4°F to +140°F, so it works in unheated storage areas, equipment rooms, or exterior vestibules.

Compatibility

The E75PSQE1Q is a standalone unit — it does not integrate with access control panels, OSDP systems, or TCP/IP networks. It is a purely local keypad lock with no external communication capability. If your deployment requires networked credential management, multi-site reporting, or integration with a central access control system, this is not the right model. The E75 series supports other variants (E75PL, E75P, E75PL) that add proximity readers or PC software programming — verify your exact security requirements before ordering.

Installation Notes

Standard cylindrical lockset installation applies: verify door thickness fits the 1¾" to 2½" range and confirm backset clearance (2¾" standard, 2½" optional). Keyway format is Schlage "C" (G1/E1) or Best small format prep (G5/E5) — order the correct keyway when you place the order. If hardwiring for 12VDC, confirm your power source can sustain 30mA continuous draw. Strike is ANSI A115.2 compliant, 4⅞" face, rated for 1 Amp @ 30VDC auxiliary relay output. Request-to-Exit (REX) and door position sensors are built in — wire accordingly if you need them. Operating humidity range is 5% to 95% non-condensing, so avoid wet-spray environments without a protective canopy.
