Compatibility

The NEMA L5-20P twist-lock plug connects to any 20A, 120V UPS output receptacle or PDU-rated wall circuit using the matching L5-20R receptacle — common on rack-mount UPS units including APC Smart-UPS and Symmetra families. The 14 NEMA 5-15/20R outlets accommodate standard IEC-to-NEMA power cables used by most network video recorders, managed PoE switches, and rack-mount servers. Verify your UPS or circuit output is rated L5-20R before ordering — a standard NEMA 5-20R receptacle will not accept the L5-20P plug without an adapter.
Installation Notes
The 1.7-inch form factor fits in a standard 1U rack space. Route the 12-foot black cord to the nearest UPS output bank or dedicated 20A circuit. Confirm the total draw of connected devices does not exceed the circuit breaker rating — 14 outlets on a single 20A circuit leaves limited headroom if you're running power-hungry PoE switches or GPU-based analytics servers.
