Description

APC by Schneider Electric AP7920B Switched PDU

Overview

The APC by Schneider Electric AP7920B is a rack-mountable switched metered PDU designed for IT environments where remote power control and monitoring are critical. It provides 8 outlets controlled individually via the network interface, allowing you to cycle power to connected devices, effectively troubleshooting frozen equipment without physical access. This unit is ideal for rack deployments in data centers, server rooms, or network closets where uptime is paramount. The AP7920B supports nominal input voltages of 200-230V and a maximum current draw of 10A.

Compatibility

This PDU is designed for integration into standard IT racks and network infrastructure. Its IEC C14 input connector is compatible with common server power supplies and UPS units featuring a C13 output. The 8x C13 outlets provide power for standard IT equipment such as servers, switches, routers, and network attached storage devices. It operates within a nominal output voltage range of 208-230V and has a load capacity of 2300 VA. The 1.98m cable length offers flexibility in rack placement.

Installation Notes

The AP7920B supports both horizontal and vertical rack mounting, offering deployment flexibility within 0U or 1U rack spaces. It connects via a standard IEC C14 input and distributes power through eight IEC C13 outlets. The unit monitors current, power, and voltage, providing real-time data on power consumption. Outlet control features include the ability to lock out, recycle, turn off, or turn on individual outlets remotely through its network interface, simplifying remote management and reducing downtime.
