Overview

The Vertiv VP4G30AK is a 32A, 230V, 7.3kW monitored unit level rack power distribution unit (rPDU) designed for reliable power delivery to IT equipment. It provides granular input level power monitoring and environmental monitoring capabilities via optional sensors, enabling proactive management of critical infrastructure. This vertical rPDU is ideal for data centers and network closets where comprehensive power visibility and uptime are paramount. The VP4G30AK supports daisy-chaining up to 50 devices on a single IP address, simplifying deployment and reducing network overhead.

Compatibility

This rPDU is designed for integration into standard 19-inch racks. Its 66-inch vertical form factor is compatible with most server racks and enclosures. The unit level monitoring and dual Ethernet connectivity allow it to integrate with various network management systems and monitoring platforms that support SNMP, Modbus TCP, or JSON API data access. The IEC60309 32A plug is standard for high-power circuits in enterprise environments.

Installation Notes

The Vertiv VP4G30AK requires a 230V, 32A, 50/60Hz power circuit with an IEC60309 1P+N+E splashproof IP44 receptacle. It features dual 10/100/1000Mbps Ethernet ports for network connectivity and supports daisy-chaining with RSTP for fault-tolerant data reporting, accommodating up to 40 rPDUs in a chain. It includes 2 x 16A single-pole magnetic breakers for overcurrent protection at the input level. An optional remote sensor can be connected to monitor environmental conditions like temperature and humidity.
