Overview

The VP1NC2A0 is a 100A, 277/480V WYE three-phase basic upgradeable rack PDU rated at 66.4kW, designed for high-density data center and enterprise power distribution applications. Horizontal mounting in a 1U rack profile (17.12 in W × 3.49 in H × 12 in D) keeps it space-efficient in standard 19-inch racks. With 15 Saf-D-Grid Series 400 outlets, it targets rows of high-draw servers, storage arrays, and network infrastructure where single-phase circuits cannot meet per-rack power demands. The "upgradeable" designation means the unit accepts Vertiv's modular monitoring intelligence cards, allowing a basic non-metered deployment today with the option to add per-outlet metering or environmental monitoring without replacing the PDU.

Compatibility

Outlet side: the VP1NC2A0 provides 15 Saf-D-Grid Series 400 receptacles — these require Saf-D-Grid Series 400 locking plugs on the attached equipment. Verify that your server or device power cords terminate in compatible Saf-D-Grid connectors before ordering; standard IEC C13/C19 cords will not mate directly. Input side: the unit accepts a 277/480V WYE three-phase feed at 100A, sized for facilities with 480V three-phase distribution panels.
