Description

APC by Schneider Electric AP8750 Locking C19 to NEMA 5-15P Power Cord

Overview

The AP8750 is a 10 ft (3.0M) replacement and extension power cord designed for high-draw rack PDU and UPS outlets with locking IEC-320 C19 receptacles. The locking C19 connector prevents accidental disconnection under vibration or incidental contact — a real concern in dense rack environments where a dropped cord can take down a full PDU circuit. It terminates in a standard NEMA 5-15P plug for connection to 15A/120V wall or PDU outlets. Built from 14 AWG SJT cable with a rubber and plastic jacket, AP8750 handles the sustained current demands of server and networking loads without thermal stress at the connector.

Compatibility

Pairs with APC rack PDUs and UPS units equipped with locking IEC-320 C19 outlets, including the APC Switched Rack PDU (AP7900 series), APC Metered Rack PDU (AP7800 series), and APC Basic Rack PDU units with C19 locking receptacles. Also compatible with any third-party PDU, UPS, or power distribution unit that uses the locking IEC-320 C19 female socket standard and draws within the 14 AWG / 15A rating. The NEMA 5-15P plug end connects to standard 15A 120V outlets — confirm your outlet type before ordering if your rack feeds from 20A (5-20R) circuits, as this cord does not include a 5-20P plug.

Installation Notes

UL Listed, CSA certified, and PSE marked — meets the compliance requirements for commercial and enterprise rack deployments in North America and Japan. The locking C19 end seats with a quarter-turn lock; verify the connector is fully engaged and locked before energizing. 14 AWG is rated for 15A continuous at 120V — do not use on circuits exceeding that rating. The SJT rubber/plastic jacket is suitable for dry indoor rack environments; not rated for wet or outdoor use.
