Description

APC by Schneider Electric AP8706R-NA Locking C13 to C14 90-Degree Power Cord Kit

Overview

The AP8706R-NA is a six-piece kit of locking C13-to-C14 jumper cords designed for high-density rack environments where standard straight cords create airflow problems and accidental disconnects are a real operational risk. Each cord measures 1.8M (approximately 6 ft) and features a 90-degree angled C13 connector — three left-angle and three right-angle — so you can route power horizontally away from PDU outlets without blocking adjacent ports or fighting cable management panels. The locking C13 connector clicks and retains on C14 inlets, preventing inadvertent pull-out on equipment that sees frequent cable movement. UL Listed and CSA certified, with RoHS compliance for deployments with environmental material restrictions.

Compatibility

Designed for use with APC by Schneider Electric rack PDUs and power distribution equipment featuring C14 outlets — including the APC Switched Rack PDU (AP7900 series), Metered Rack PDU (AP7800 series), and Basic Rack PDU (AP9560 series). The C14 male plug is the near-universal PDU outlet standard, so these cords are also compatible with third-party rack PDUs from Eaton, Raritan, Vertiv/Liebert, and CyberPower that use C14 outlets. The C13 female end fits IEC 60320 C14-inlet equipment: servers, switches, patch panels with power, and KVM units. Before ordering, confirm your PDU outlets are C14 (not C19/C20) and your equipment inlets are C13 — the locking retention mechanism only engages on standard IEC C14 inlets and will not substitute for C19/C20 high-current connections. Consult a rack power planning guide to size cord count and PDU outlet density before deploying in high-channel rack enclosures.
