Overview

The AP8704R-NA is a six-piece kit of locking C13-to-C14 jumper cords designed for high-density rack power distribution where cable management and accidental disconnection are real operational concerns. Each cord measures 1.2m (3.97 ft) and uses a 90-degree angled C13 connector — three left-angle and three right-angle — so you can route cables cleanly along the sides of a rack without fighting a straight plug that protrudes into adjacent space. The locking C13 connector clicks into a compatible C14 inlet and won't pull free under vibration or incidental contact, which matters in active data centers and telecom rooms where a dislodged cord means a dropped device. Rated at 10A, these cords handle standard 1U and 2U PDU-connected loads without derating.

Compatibility

Designed for use with APC AP8000 Series Rack PDUs — specifically units with IEC 60320 C14 inlets. The C13 (female, equipment side) to C14 (male, PDU inlet side) configuration matches the standard server and networking gear power inlet found on most 1U rackmount equipment. The 90-degree angled C13 head is compatible with any recessed or standard C14 socket; confirm your PDU inlet depth before ordering if using with non-APC equipment.

Installation Notes

The locking mechanism engages on insertion and releases by squeezing the collar — no tools required. Mixing left-angle and right-angle cords (three of each included) lets you bundle and route cables to opposite sides of a vertical PDU simultaneously, reducing cable bulk in the rear of the rack.
