Description

Code Blue SLNP0188 PoE+ Splitter with 12VDC Output

Overview

The SLNP0188 solves a specific retrofit constraint: you have one Ethernet cable running to a camera or access control reader, but the downstream device needs both data and 12VDC power. This splitter accepts PoE+ voltage from an injector or switch port, internally regulates it to 12VDC, and passes Ethernet data through unchanged on a separate RJ-45 port. The 30W output capacity handles typical legacy dome cameras, infrared illuminators, and small access control panels without additional wiring.

Compatibility

Works with any PoE+ power source—injector or switch port delivering 802.3at+ power. Downstream compatibility includes legacy 12VDC surveillance equipment: older dome and bullet cameras, IR illuminators, small card readers, and access control panels. The splitter passes standard 10/100/1000 Ethernet without degradation to ONVIF-compliant cameras and NVR systems. Verify your destination device's power draw does not exceed 30W; exceeding this limit will cause voltage sag or shutdown.

Installation Notes

Mount the splitter as close as possible to the powered device to minimize voltage drop on the 12VDC output lead. The incoming PoE+ source must supply at least 30W per port—verify your injector or switch has sufficient PoE budget remaining. Both Ethernet connections use standard RJ-45 connectors. The 12VDC output terminal block requires correct polarity matching (positive and negative) to your device's input connector; reverse polarity can damage the downstream equipment. Keep the splitter in a dry environment and avoid direct moisture exposure.
