The PFD-21 is a 21-space plexi front door designed for Middle Atlantic DWR and EWR series racks where you need visibility into installed gear without pulling the door — useful in AV equipment rooms, security head-end closets, and telecom infrastructure racks where status indicators and display panels need to remain readable while the rack stays secured. The PMMA (acrylic) panel transmits light from indicator LEDs and front-panel displays through the closed door, so you can confirm system status at a glance without unlocking. The integrated keylock keeps the door secured against casual access, and the beveled-corner steel frame gives a finished appearance appropriate for client-facing or shared-space installations. Width is 20 inches (509 mm), sized to match the DWR/EWR rack footprint. Compatibility
The PFD-21 fits Middle Atlantic DWR Series and EWR Series racks at the 21-space (21 RU) configuration. It mounts via universal rack mount points on the DWR/EWR frame. If your rack is a different RU count — 12, 16, 26, or 31 space — you will need the corresponding PFD model for that depth; this door is sized exclusively for 21-space units and will not fit adjacent rack sizes. Confirm your rack's RU count before ordering.
Installation Notes
The hinge is reversible — left- or right-hand swing — so you can accommodate room layout and aisle clearance without ordering a handed version. Hinge orientation is set during installation. The keylock ships with the door; no separate lock hardware is required. Mounting hardware for the hinge and latch attaches to the existing DWR/EWR rack frame mounting points.
