Description

Middle Atlantic PFD-10 Plexi Front Door for 10U DWR/EWR Racks

Overview

The Middle Atlantic PFD-10 is a 10 RU plexiglass front door designed specifically for DWR and EWR series racks. It solves a practical access-control problem in AV and security equipment rooms: keeping gear protected from accidental contact and airborne debris while keeping equipment status LEDs and panel indicators fully visible without opening the rack. At 1.39 inches deep, the PFD-10 adds minimal protrusion — relevant when rack placement is tight against a wall or in a shallow alcove. The textured black powder coat finish matches standard Middle Atlantic rack aesthetics. Mounting hardware is included, so no separate hardware sourcing is needed for the install.

Compatibility

The PFD-10 is compatible with Middle Atlantic DWR series and EWR series racks in the 10-space (10U) configuration. It is not a universal-fit door — verify your rack is DWR or EWR series and exactly 10U before ordering. If your rack is a different unit count, Middle Atlantic offers PFD variants sized to match (e.g., different RU counts in the same PFD line). This door is not rated for outdoor enclosures; it is intended for interior rack accessories deployments in conditioned environments such as server rooms, security head-end closets, and AV equipment racks.

Installation Notes

Mounting hardware for installation is included in the package. The 1.39-inch depth spec is the door's protrusion beyond the rack frame — confirm front clearance in the intended installation space before mounting. No special tools beyond standard rack installation hardware are required based on available documentation.
