Description

Paige Electric 7106A01WH 1ft White Cat 6A Patch Cord

Overview

The 7106A01WH is a 1-foot Cat 6A patch cord from Paige Electric, built for short jumper runs where you need a clean connection between a patch panel and a switch port, or between two closely spaced rack devices. Cat 6A supports 10GBASE-T at full 100-meter channel length, so even at this short length it holds the same electrical spec as the rest of your run — no bottleneck introduced at the jump. White jacket color makes it easy to visually distinguish from colored cords used for VLAN or zone coding in a mixed rack.

Compatibility

Works with any standard RJ45 copper network equipment rated for Cat 6A or backward-compatible with Cat 6/Cat 5e — switches, patch panels, NVRs, PoE injectors, and wall jacks using standard 8P8C jacks. Suited to structured cabling deployments where PoE switches and patch panels sit in the same rack or adjacent racks.

Installation Notes

At 0.05 lb, the cord adds negligible weight to cable management arms or vertical managers. Because 1ft is close to the minimum practical length for a patch cord, route it directly between adjacent rack units rather than looping through management fingers — excess slack isn't available to absorb tight bends. Country of origin is China. For guidance on planning cable runs and port budgets across a rack, see the PoE planning guide. Pair with a network video recorder or switch deployment where short, high-category jumps are needed between adjacent panel positions.
