i-PRO WVCW314L Outdoor BOX IR LED Analog Camera 16 Axis Matrix
Overview
The WVCW314L is an outdoor box-form analog camera built around a 16-axis matrix LED infrared illumination array. Unlike fixed or limited-angle IR designs, the 16-axis matrix distributes IR LEDs across the face of the unit, enabling directional control of infrared output — meaning you can tune IR strength and coverage per deployment zone without repositioning the camera itself. This is particularly useful in mixed-light environments where some viewing angles receive ambient light and others need full IR boost. The box form factor fits standard outdoor camera housings and ceiling mounts, making it a direct retrofit for existing analog CCTV infrastructure.
Compatibility
The WVCW314L integrates with analog surveillance systems that support standard CVBS (composite video) input over coax. It is compatible with analog video recorders, analog matrix switchers, and hybrid NVR/DVR systems with analog input modules. Box cameras in the i-PRO analog line mount to standard C-mount brackets and J-box enclosures. If you are working with existing analog infrastructure—especially outdoor locations with long cable runs where analog coax is already in place—the WVCW314L serves as a direct replacement or expansion module. Confirm your recorder's video input standard (NTSC or PAL) before deployment.
Installation Notes
Outdoor box cameras require weatherproof enclosures or a junction box rated for your climate zone (IP66 or higher for rainy or dusty environments). The 16-axis matrix IR array draws power through the camera's DC supply—verify your power supply capacity supports the total wattage of the camera plus IR bank before installation. Coax runs longer than 300 feet may experience video degradation; use shielded RG-59 or RG-6 cable and consider intermediate amplifiers for extended distances. Mount the camera away from reflective surfaces (windows, metal panels) to avoid IR washout from backscatter.
