Compatibility
This Panduit Opti-Core® patch cord is compatible with network devices and fiber optic equipment utilizing LC Duplex APC (keyed for single-mode APC polish) on one end and SC Duplex connectors on the other. It is suitable for use with standard fiber optic transceivers and patch panels that support OS2 single-mode fiber. The Riser (OFNR) rating makes it appropriate for use within building risers and horizontal pathways, but not for plenum spaces.
Installation Notes
Ensure the LC/APC connector is properly seated in its corresponding port, paying attention to the keyed design for correct orientation. The SC duplex connector also requires firm insertion. Avoid bending the cable tighter than its minimum bend radius (typically 10x cable diameter for OS2) to prevent signal loss or fiber damage. Clean all connector end-faces before mating to prevent contamination, which can degrade performance.
