Overview
The AUO22PT2G2SLG is a 2' x 2' acoustic ceiling tile from Middle Atlantic's ORI system, finished in Silver Gray with a Plateau 2 profile. It drops into standard 9/16" layin grid ceilings — the suspension system found in most commercial conference rooms, control rooms, and operations centers — and replaces a standard ceiling tile to introduce acoustic treatment without requiring a dedicated panel or wall-mount solution. The tile body is 2 in. tall and 2 in. wide at the profile edge, constructed from 100% polyester PET felt, which absorbs sound energy and reduces reverberation in enclosed spaces where rack equipment, HVAC noise, or open-plan audio bleeds into communication or monitoring work. Compatibility
Designed for use with the Middle Atlantic ORI acoustic ceiling tile system. Fits any commercial suspended ceiling grid using a 9/16" T-bar layin profile — the most common grid width in North American commercial construction. The 2' x 2' footprint is the standard module for these grids. Verify your grid's flange width before ordering: 9/16" layin is distinct from 15/16" layin and from tegular or reveal-edge profiles, which require different tiles. This tile is not compatible with 15/16" grid systems or slotted/tegular grid configurations. Installation Notes
Drop-in layin installation — no fasteners, adhesive, or special tools required. Tile rests on the 9/16" grid flange under its own weight. Confirm ceiling grid flange width measures 9/16" before installing; mismatched flange width will result in improper seating and visible gaps. The Plateau 2 profile produces a raised surface relief of 2 in. — account for this when installing in ceilings with tight plenum clearance or where flush tile appearance is required.
