Description

Panduit FZ2ERLNSNSNM6.5 OM4 Duplex LC to SC Riser Fiber Patch Cable

Overview

The Panduit FZ2ERLNSNSNM6.5 is a pre-terminated 2-fiber OM4 multimode patch cable from the Panduit QuickNet™ line, designed for structured cabling deployments in data centers, telecom rooms, entrance facilities, and equipment distribution areas. The LC Duplex to SC configuration covers the most common horizontal and backbone cross-connect scenarios where SFP-based active equipment (LC side) terminates to patch panels or older SC-interface gear. At 6.5 meters, this cable length is sized for mid-bay runs inside a rack row or short inter-rack hops — not a long-haul backbone pull. Factory termination eliminates field polishing variables and delivers consistent insertion loss, which matters when you're commissioning a fiber optic infrastructure under tight latency budgets.

Compatibility

OM4 50/125µm multimode fiber is backward compatible with OM3 transceivers and equipment, but is rated to support 40GBase-SR4 and 100GBase-SR10 at distances up to 150m — useful context when planning network switch uplinks in dense compute environments. The LC Duplex connector mates with SFP/SFP+ ports on switches, routers, and storage arrays from Cisco, Aruba, Juniper, HPE, and similar vendors. The SC end connects to SC patch panels, SC-interface media converters, or SC-port optical amplifiers. This cable meets TIA-568.3-D, ISO/IEC 11801, and ANSI/TIA-942-B — the three standards most enterprise and data center cabling audits reference, so it documents cleanly in as-built records. The OFNR (Riser) flammability rating qualifies it for vertical runs between floors in riser pathways without conduit; it does not meet plenum (OFNP) requirements for air-handling spaces.

Installation Notes

The 1.6mm jacket diameter is slim enough for high-density patch panels where cable management space is constrained — standard 2mm duplex cables can crowd dense 48-port panels. Minimum bend radius must be observed during routing; OM4 glass is less forgiving than OM1/OM2 if kinked around tight corners. MOQ for this SKU is 10 units (PK1MOQ10) — plan procurement quantities accordingly for phased structured cabling rollouts.
