Overview

The Panduit FC2XA-24-10U is a high-density fiber optic cassette designed for efficient termination and management within Panduit Opticom™ enclosures. It utilizes OM3 laser-optimized multimode fiber with an ultra-low loss rating, ensuring signal integrity for high-speed data transmission in enterprise networks and data centers. This cassette provides a transition from a 24-fiber MPO trunk cable to 12 duplex LC connections, simplifying connectivity for switch uplinks and server connections. The universal wiring method supports various network configurations.

Compatibility

This cassette is designed to integrate with Panduit Opticom™ fiber optic panels and enclosures. It requires a chassis that accepts MPO-12 Male connectors and duplex LC adapters. Specifically, it is compatible with Panduit's 1RU and 2RU fiber optic enclosures and patch panels that support the Opticom™ system. Ensure your existing infrastructure is designed to accommodate MPO trunk connections and duplex LC field terminations.

Installation Notes

The cassette features a polycarbonate construction for durability. It houses 24 fibers, transitioning from a single MPO-12 male connector to 12 duplex LC connectors. The MPO connector is male, meaning it has pins that align with the female MPO ports on trunk cables. The duplex LC connectors are color-coded and feature split sleeves to maintain proper fiber alignment. Handle all fiber optic connections with care to avoid contamination and damage.
