Overview
The Panduit FC2XA-12-10U is an Opticom™ OM3 fiber cassette designed for high-density patching within fiber optic enclosures. It terminates 12 fibers, providing a transition from an MPO-12 male connector to 6 duplex LC connectors. This cassette is engineered for ultra-low loss applications, ensuring signal integrity in demanding data center and enterprise network backbones. The universal wiring method simplifies deployment in standard fiber optic panel systems.
Compatibility
This cassette is compatible with Panduit Opticom™ fiber optic enclosures and panels that accept MPO-based cassettes. It is designed for use with OM3 laser-optimized multimode fiber, supporting 10 Gigabit Ethernet applications up to 300 meters and 40/100 Gigabit Ethernet up to 100 meters, making it suitable for high-speed network uplinks and server connections. It is not compatible with single-mode fiber systems.
Installation Notes
The cassette features a ceramic zirconia adapter for precise fiber alignment, contributing to its ultra-low loss performance. Its overall dimensions are 10 inches in height and 9.9 inches in width, designed to fit standard 10U rack-mount fiber enclosures.
