The Panduit CJ688TPBU is a Category 6 UTP (Unshielded Twisted Pair) keystone jack designed for terminating 8-wire network cables. It provides a robust connection point within patch panels or wall plates, ensuring signal integrity for data transmission up to 1 Gigabit Ethernet. This blue jack is intended for use in commercial and enterprise network infrastructure deployments where reliable cable termination is critical.
This keystone jack is compatible with all standard keystone-style patch panels and wall plates designed to accept standard-sized modules. It is engineered for use with 23-24 AWG solid UTP cable, commonly found in structured cabling systems. It is suitable for use with network switches and routers supporting Gigabit Ethernet speeds.
Termination requires a standard 110-style punch-down tool. Ensure proper cable jacket seating and wire seating within the punch-down slots to maintain Category 6 performance standards. The color-coding on the jack follows the T568A and T568B wiring standards for consistent termination. Torque specifications for punch-down tools should be followed to prevent wire damage.
