Overview
The Aiphone JPW-BA is a signal extender designed to overcome the distance limitations of standard cabling for the Aiphone JP Series video intercom system. When a video door station is located beyond the specified wire run, this adapter unit allows for extended reach, ensuring reliable video and audio transmission. It also provides a BNC/Coax connection for integrating a CCTV camera into the system, consolidating surveillance and communication infrastructure.
Compatibility
This adapter is specifically designed for use with the Aiphone JP Series video intercom system. It functions as a single adaptor unit per video door station that exceeds the standard wire distance. For CCTV camera integration, it supports standard BNC/Coax cabling.
Installation Notes
The JPW-BA supports extended wire runs: up to 650' from the adapter to the door station and up to 330' from the adapter to the master station, for a total effective range of 980' when using appropriate cabling. It requires a 24V DC power source. Mounting options include surface wall mount or DIN rail installation (DIN rail sold separately). The operating temperature range is 32-104°F (0-40°C). Use 18AWG 2-conductor, low-capacitance, non-shielded wire for intercom functions. For CCTV camera integration, use Aiphone #851602 or #851602DBW (direct burial) BNC/Coax cable.
