Description

Lifesafety Power FPO75-D8E2-4SL1 75W Access Control Power Supply

Overview

The FPO75-D8E2-4SL1 is a 75W distributed power supply designed to feed multiple door locks, readers, and ancillary devices in access control systems. With 8 auxiliary outputs, it centralizes power distribution across a facility zone, reducing field-level power management complexity and eliminating the need for scattered wall-mount supplies at each door. The 6A@12V or 3A@24V output capacity handles typical electronic lock and reader loads in small-to-medium entrance clusters or distributed remote sites.

Compatibility

This unit is specified as part of the Lifesafety Power access control supply line and integrates with Salto electronic lock systems and compatible wiegand or IP-based readers. It pairs with access control power supplies in facilities running hardwired reader zones or hybrid reader networks. Verify exact reader and lock voltage compatibility before deployment — mismatched voltage will result in reader dropout or lock malfunction.

Installation Notes

The FPO75-D8E2-4SL1 measures 20 × 16 × 4.5 inches, sized for DIN-rail or surface mounting in a equipment closet or control cabinet. Eight separate auxiliary outputs allow you to split load across multiple circuits, improving fault isolation — if one output wire is cut or shorted, only that zone drops, not the entire supply. Plan wiring to keep voltage drop under 3% from the supply terminals to the furthest reader or lock; use 18 AWG or heavier depending on cable run length. The 75W capacity ceiling means this unit is not suitable for dense reader clusters (more than eight simultaneous draw devices) or high-current lock arrays; larger facilities should parallel multiple supplies or step up to a higher-wattage model.
