The FPO250-B100C8D8PE2 is a 250W dedicated power supply designed for distributed access control and door lock management in mid-scale security installations. It delivers either 20A at 12VDC or 10A at 24VDC — sufficient headroom for multiple electromagnetic locks, exit devices, and auxiliary sensors without voltage sag. The eight 3A fused relay outputs handle lock control independently, each selectable for failsafe (power loss = unlock) or failsecure (power loss = lock) operation. This switchable logic is critical: failsafe suits life-safety egress scenarios; failsecure protects high-security zones. Eight additional 2.5A class 2 auxiliary DC outputs support bus-powered devices (readers, keypads, sensors) assignable to Bus1 or Bus2 topology, enabling segmented power distribution across access control zones.
The FPO250-B100C8D8PE2 integrates with standard access control panels that support external relay supervision and 12/24VDC lock control architecture. It pairs with electromagnetic lock controllers, magnetic door closers, and PoE switch-powered readers in hybrid installations where centralized power isolation is required. The dual-bus auxiliary outputs allow independent segmentation — useful when powering separate reader circuits or segregating high-security zones from general access areas. Confirm relay contact ratings and auxiliary draw with your access control system specifications before deployment.
Each relay output is fused at 3A; do not exceed this limit without parallel outputs. Auxiliary outputs are class 2 power-limited at 2.5A per circuit — suitable for low-draw devices only (card readers, request-to-exit buttons, 5V logic circuits). Wire input/output using appropriate gauge for anticipated current load and conduit length. Selector switches on the unit permit runtime failsafe/failsecure configuration — no firmware required. Mount in a secure electrical enclosure with proper thermal clearance and UPS integration if 24/7 backup is mandated.
