Lifesafety Power FPO250-B150C8D8PE6M 250W Power Supply with Relay Lock Control
Overview
The FPO250-B150C8D8PE6M is a 250W power supply designed to manage distributed lock control and auxiliary circuits in access control and security integration environments. It delivers either 12VDC at 20A or 24VDC at 10A — a choice that shapes your circuit design and device compatibility. The unit includes 8 dedicated relay outputs fused individually at 3A per channel, each selectable for fail-safe, fail-secure, or FAI (fire alarm interface) operation — allowing you to mix lock control strategies across the same panel without additional external relays. Eight supplemental 2.5A Class 2 auxiliary outputs provide bus-switched power to supervision and status circuits, selectable per output for Bus 1 or Bus 2 operation.
Compatibility
This supply pairs with access control systems requiring hardwired relay-driven lock control and auxiliary supervision in standard E6 enclosure form factors. It integrates into larger PoE switch and UPS architectures where centralized power distribution for IP cameras, readers, and electrified hardware is needed. Verify your lock and reader voltage requirement (12V or 24V) before selection — both voltage rails share the 250W budget and cannot be used simultaneously.
Installation Notes
Each of the 8 relay outputs supports up to 3A at the selected voltage. Lock load calculations must account for inrush current during strike activation — factor peak draw against the per-output fuse rating. Auxiliary outputs are Class 2 power-limited at 2.5A per output to support low-power status signaling and bus communication. Configure each relay and auxiliary output before commissioning to confirm fail-safe vs. fail-secure mode and Bus assignment, as these are field-selectable per output.
