Lifesafety Power FPO250-B1002C82D8E4M1 Access Control Power Supply
Overview
The FPO250-B1002C82D8E4M1 is a 250W industrial-duty power supply designed to centralize lock control and auxiliary power for medium- to large-scale access control deployments. It provides enough current capacity to drive 16 solenoid locks simultaneously (20A @ 12V or 10A @ 24V primary output) while delivering independent 12V secondary power at up to 4A for sensors, card readers, and supplementary equipment. The switchable relay outputs accept failsafe or failsecure configuration per output — meaning you can wire mag locks to de-energize on power loss (failsafe) while keeping electronic strikes energized until commanded to release (failsecure), all from the same supply.
Output Architecture
Sixteen 3A-fused relay lock control outputs provide individually selectable failsafe/failsecure logic. Sixteen additional 3A-fused DC auxiliary outputs route to Bus1 or Bus2, enabling independent power distribution to door sensors, reader power, and alarm devices without cross-loading the lock outputs. The 5–18V adjustable secondary output at 4A supplies low-power accessories like request-to-exit buttons or aux sensors. Each output fuse is field-replaceable and clearly rated — a key advantage in high-traffic facilities where a single failed lock solenoid shouldn't cascade.
Physical & Environmental
The E4 enclosure (24H × 20W × 4.5D inches) fits standard electrical cabinets and includes a Mercury back plate for DIN-rail mounting and a door-mount kit for surface installation. The form factor is compact enough for wall-mounted access control closets while robust enough to handle industrial environments — typical for warehouse automation hubs or multi-door commercial buildings.
Integration Considerations
This supply is a passive power backbone — it does not include native supervision or remote diagnostics. Pair with an access control panel that supports relay supervision to detect lock failures or tamper events. Confirm your panel's relay voltage and current requirements match the FPO250's 12V or 24V primary output before specifying.
