Description

Lifesafety Power FPO150-C8PD8PE2 Eight Door Access Control Power Supply

Overview

The FPO150-C8PD8PE2 is a 150W, Class 2 power-limited supply designed to power eight independent door locks and eight auxiliary outputs in access control installations. It delivers either 12A at 12V DC or 6A at 24V DC, with each output capable of sourcing 2.5A — enough to drive a standard electric strike, mag-lock, or shunt trip solenoid per door without additional local power supplies. The E2 enclosure is rated for wall-mount installation in mechanical rooms, electrical closets, or secured panel locations where space is tight.

Compatibility

This supply integrates with any eight-door access control panel architecture that requires Class 2, power-limited output — including systems from Lenel, Honeywell, Nortek, Avigilon, and other mainstream multi-door controllers that assume external power delivery per door. Verify your access control panel supports 12V or 24V auxiliary output configuration before installation; the FPO150 will not work with 48V or higher control signals.

Installation Notes

Ensure total lock current draw across all eight channels does not exceed 12A (12V) or 6A (24V) simultaneously — this supply cannot serve hot-swap failover duty. Run separate 16–18 AWG twisted-pair from each output to its respective door mechanism; avoid bundling lock wiring with control signal cable to prevent induced noise on reader circuits. The E2 enclosure is not weather-sealed; mount indoors only. Connect input power via standard circuit breaker or panel disconnect rated for 150W continuous load at your line voltage (typically 120V or 240V AC input — verify nameplate).
