The Lifesafety Power FPO150/150-C8PD8PE2 is a 150W class 2 power-limited supply designed to distribute power to eight electronic locks and eight auxiliary devices (sensors, indicators, solenoids) in access control and integrated security systems. Each output is current-limited to 2.5A, providing safe, regulated delivery across channels without interaction. This unit solves the problem of centralizing power for mixed lock and auxiliary loads in distributed access architectures — instead of running individual 24V or 12V lines to each device, you wire them back to the FPO150.
This supply integrates with access control panels and readers that require class 2 power distribution — specifically systems calling for 12A at 12V or 6A at 24V sourcing capability. The FPO150/150-C8PD8PE2 is compatible with Lifesafety Power control systems and third-party access control panels (Honeywell, Salto, Allegion, etc.) that accept hardwired 12/24V auxiliary power feeds. If your panel has screw terminals for lock power and sensor outputs, this unit fits the architecture. Verify your panel's voltage requirement (12V or 24V) before installation — the FPO150 supports both, but you cannot mix voltages across outputs on a single unit.
Wire the FPO150 input to a dedicated circuit breaker rated for 150W draw. Each output can sink 2.5A maximum — monitor cumulative load if you're running high-draw solenoid locks or LED strobe indicators. The E2 enclosure rating provides indoor protection; do not expose to moisture or direct weather. Use 18 AWG or heavier for runs under 100 feet; step up to 16 AWG for longer runs to avoid voltage drop at the lock or sensor. Terminate all outputs in a terminal block or access panel for serviceability.
