The BX50-E5 is a compact 50W single-voltage PoE power supply designed to centralize power distribution for small- to mid-scale IP security installations. At 50W output, it covers modest camera counts or mixed low-power device loads where a full rack-mount system is overkill. This form factor fits cramped electrical closets, wall-mount cabinets, or equipment racks where space is constrained.
The BX50-E5 integrates with standard IP security networks using 802.3af/at PoE delivery. Verify your camera or device power draw against the 50W ceiling; devices pulling more than that per-unit will require parallel supply or a higher-capacity model. Consult device datasheets for actual consumption under load.
Single-voltage design means all output ports deliver the same voltage—no mixed 12V/24V capability. Confirm voltage requirement before ordering. Standard PoE wiring (Cat5e or better) carries both data and power, reducing cable runs compared to separate DC injection. Ensure UPS backup is factored into the overall system design if uptime SLAs demand it.
50W output is appropriate for approximately 8–12 IP cameras running at typical IP camera consumption rates (4–6W each), or fewer cameras with additional edge devices (access control readers, environmental sensors). Confirm total connected load does not exceed 50W; over-subscription will trigger shutdown protection. Installation guidance and voltage configuration details are available from the manufacturer.
