This complete kit integrates capture, character recognition logic, and access control outputs into a single box form factor, eliminating the need for separate hardware modules. Deploy it at toll plazas, parking facility entry points, border checkpoints, and perimeter barriers where automated gate or boom-arm control must trigger from plate reads. The system supports over 70 country plate formats and includes snap-in IR illumination for consistent night capture.
Compatibility
The IP9165-LPRKIT-S-V2 (50MM) is a complete, standalone LPR appliance. It does not require integration with third-party cameras or VMS platforms for basic operation—plate capture, character recognition, and access control relay outputs function autonomously. If your site uses an external access control panel or gate controller with relay inputs, the IP9165 relay outputs (typically 12 VDC dry contacts) can trigger those systems. Confirm relay voltage and contact rating with your gate manufacturer before deployment.
Installation Notes
The 9-50mm varifocal lens requires focus and zoom adjustment during commissioning to frame the target capture zone (typically the license plate zone, roughly 10–20 feet from the camera). Position the box camera perpendicular to traffic flow for optimal plate angle. Snap-in IR illumination modules install directly into the housing—no external wiring required. Mount the unit on a pole, overhead gantry, or wall bracket with clear sightlines to the vehicle approach. Ensure power supply (PoE or 12 VDC) reaches the installation point; confirm with site survey before final placement.
