Overview
The P225-COVER is a protective black cover designed specifically for Kantech's ioProx P225-series proximity readers (P225XSF and P225W26 models). This cover shields the reader from dust, moisture, and environmental debris while maintaining proper reader alignment and uninterrupted Wiegand communication. Install this where reader protection matters: outdoor door frames, high-traffic corridors, loading docks, or any mounting scenario where environmental exposure degrades reader lifespan without affecting form factor or electrical performance.
Compatibility
The P225-COVER fits only the Kantech ioProx P225XSF and P225W26 proximity readers. Both models support 26-bit Wiegand and Kantech Extended Secure Format (XSF) encoded cards, with read ranges from 16.5 cm to 29 in depending on card type and installation distance. The cover maintains full electrical continuity with the reader's quick-connect terminal blocks, so no wiring changes or adapter boards are required. Compatible with Kantech door controllers (such as the 2500 series) and EntraPass Security Software for centralized credential and access policy management.
Installation Notes
