Overview
The ERK-10FT-550CFM is a 10-inch active fan top module from Middle Atlantic's Middle Atlantic rack and enclosure line, designed to exhaust heat from enclosed AV and security equipment racks. Delivering 550 CFM at 120 VAC AC power, it actively pulls heated air upward out of the enclosure — a critical function in densely loaded rack enclosures where passive convection is insufficient. The module mounts flush into the top panel cutout and occupies 14.38 in (H) × 19.75 in (W) × 4.06 in (D), making it a direct fit for standard rack top openings. This is an active (powered) component — not a passive vent — so plan for 120 VAC wiring access near the installation point. No fan controller is included and the fan speed is not regulated; airflow is fixed at 550 CFM. If your thermal load requires variable speed control, a separately sourced fan controller will be needed.
Compatibility
The ERK-10FT-550CFM is designed to fit the following Middle Atlantic rack enclosure families: ERK (enclosed rack), WMRK (wall-mount rack), and SCRK (screen room rack). It is not a universal fit — confirm your enclosure series before ordering. The 19.75-inch width aligns with standard 19-inch rack top-panel geometry used across these three series. This fan top is not rated for international voltage and is confirmed 120 VAC / North America only — do not deploy outside the US without a step-down transformer and separate local compliance review.
Installation Notes
The unit ships at 8 lbs — account for top-panel load rating on the enclosure before mounting. Power connection requires a 120 VAC source routed to the top of the enclosure; no internal power distribution connection is described in the evidence, so plan conduit or cord routing accordingly. Fan controller is not included and speed is not adjustable on this model. If noise or variable airflow is a requirement, evaluate a controlled fan top variant from the rack cooling accessories category.
