Overview
The WVCF314L is a 650 TV line analog dome camera built for ceiling-mount indoor surveillance where varifocal lens adjustment and integrated IR illumination eliminate dependency on external lighting. The 1/3-inch interline CCD sensor paired with a 2.8–10.0 mm varifocal lens delivers flexible framing—critical when mounting height or exact coverage cannot be finalized until installation. Analog composite video output makes the WVCF314L drop-in compatible with legacy DVR systems and hybrid analog-IP recorders without encoding hardware or network-grade cabling upgrades. IR LED illumination rated to 20 m ensures usable night vision in completely dark spaces (0 lux with LED enabled); day/night operation automatically switches the IR cut filter to preserve color rendering in daylight and maximize sensitivity in low-light conditions. Video Motion Detection (VMD) processes motion triggers on the camera itself, reducing false alerts and enabling basic alerting without external management systems.
Compatibility
The WVCF314L connects to composite analog inputs on DVRs, hybrid recorders, and analog video matrices accepting standard NTSC or PAL composite (BNC) signals at 650 TV lines resolution. The camera operates on either 24 V AC or 12 V DC power—verify your recorder and power supply match the terminal block requirements before installation. Ceiling-mount applications dominate this form factor; the dome design and included bracket suit drop-ceiling grids and surface-mounted configurations in retail, offices, and hospitality spaces. Not suitable for outdoor, high-vibration, or unheated storage environments.
Installation Notes
Operating temperature range is –10 °C to +50 °C (14 °F to 122 °F)—suitable for climate-controlled interiors and vestibules but not unheated storage or outdoor-exposed areas. The varifocal lens requires manual focus and iris adjustment at install time using the on-screen display menu. Confirm your power terminal accepts 24 V AC or 12 V DC before mounting. The 20 m IR LED range assumes unobstructed line-of-sight to the target; reflective surfaces, dust, or moisture will reduce effective illumination distance.
