HID 2000PGGMB Proximity Access Card
The 2000PGGMB is an RF-programmable proximity card built to work with all HID proximity readers in installed access control systems. It carries 2KB of memory, supports up to 85-bit formats with over 137-bit capacity, and ships pre-programmed with gloss finish front and back. Use this card where you need a cost-effective, wallet-friendly credential that integrates directly into existing HID proximity infrastructure without requiring panel or reader upgrades.
Compatibility
The 2000PGGMB works with any HID proximity reader — legacy or current. Because it uses standard HID proximity technology, it integrates seamlessly with existing access control panels and readers already deployed in the field. No special configuration or firmware updates are required; the card's RF signature is recognized by all HID proximity infrastructure. If your site runs non-HID readers (e.g., Salto, Gantner, etc.), this card will not work — confirm your reader family before ordering.
Physical Form and Integration Notes
Card dimensions are standard ISO/ID-1 credit-card size (3.37 × 2.13 inches). The gloss finish front and back reduces wear on both surfaces. The design fits into standard wallets, cardholders, or badge holders with optional lanyards and clips for photo ID badge integration. Each card weighs 6.8 grams. The card's RF read range is consistent and unaffected by body shielding, keys, or coins in proximity — a real advantage in high-traffic entry points where users hold multiple items.
Programming and Administration
Cards ship pre-programmed with a cross-reference list supplied by HID, correlating the external card number to the programmed ID for system administration. RF programmability means you can update card assignments without physical replacement in many HID system configurations — check your panel's support for this capability before deploying at scale. Minimum order quantity is 100 cards.
