The NVR-RL-1-80TB-V7 is a pre-configured, tower-form surveillance recorder designed for medium-scale IP camera deployments. It pairs an Intel Xeon 6-core/12-thread processor with 32GB of RAM and up to 80TB of usable storage—enough for sustained multi-stream recording across 150–250 Mbps environments without external transcoding bottlenecks.
Overview
This is a "plug and play" appliance: factory-tested, fully configured, and ready for out-of-box deployment. VideoInsight edition software is preloaded and activated, so you skip the OS imaging step. The unit runs Windows 11 PRO on an M.2 SSD boot drive separate from the storage pool, meaning your recording drives stay isolated from OS churn. That separation matters when you need to swap or expand storage without touching the system drive.
Storage capacity scales via a single 3.5-inch enterprise HDD bay (no RAID controller onboard), giving you a straightforward single-drive setup—no parity overhead, no rebuild risk, but also no fault tolerance. The 260W fixed power supply is sized for the processor, RAM, and a single large-capacity drive; if you're adding external storage or redundancy later, factor in supplemental power.
Compatibility
This recorder works with any ONVIF-compliant IP camera and NVR ecosystem that accepts RTSP streams. VideoInsight VMS compatibility is included. Integration with third-party VMS platforms (Milestone, Genetec, March Networks) depends on ONVIF profile support and your software licensing.
Installation Notes
The unit measures 13.4 inches tall, 3.6 inches wide, and 11.7 inches deep—tight footprint suitable for equipment racks or shelf mounting in a secure server room or climate-controlled enclosure. Two 1GB Base-T network ports allow for basic redundancy or segmentation; plan for a switch with PoE capacity if your camera count is large. TPM 2.0 and on-board encryption support secure boot and sensitive video storage.
Rear-drive configuration (if needed for expansion) is a special order requiring additional setup time. The 3-year next-business-day onsite warranty covers hardware faults after remote diagnosis by i-PRO support.
