The HPE P86426-B21 is a 250V, 2.5A power cord with an IEC 60320 C5 connector and 1.83M (6 feet) length. This is the standard mains power cord for HPE server and networking equipment deployments where a direct wall outlet or PDU connection is required without intermediate adapters.

Overview

The P86426-B21 delivers 250V AC at 2.5 amperes — sufficient for HPE server chassis, power distribution units (PDUs), and networking appliances in enterprise data centers and edge deployments. The C5 connector (also called "Mickey Mouse" connector) is a three-pin design rated for up to 2.5A continuous draw. At 1.83M in length, it bridges the gap between a wall outlet or PDU socket and equipment mounted 6 feet away without cable strain or voltage drop concerns. The black jacket is the standard HPE color for mains power cords, making it visually distinct from signal or management cables in mixed installations.

Compatibility

The C5 connector fits HPE ProLiant servers (DL380, DL390, DL560, DL580 series and newer generations), Synergy frame modules, HPE Intelligent Managed network switches, and compatible UPS units and PDUs with IEC C14 female sockets. Verify your equipment's power input socket is a standard IEC 60320 C14 female connector before ordering — non-standard proprietary connectors will not fit. If your equipment uses a locking C14 or shrouded variant, this standard cord will not seat properly.

Installation Notes
