Description

HP Inc 1WT20AA NVIDIA Quadro Sync II Board

Overview

The 1WT20AA is the HP NVIDIA Quadro Sync II accessory board, designed to synchronize display output across multiple Quadro GPUs in high-performance workstation environments. If you're driving multi-display or multi-projector configurations that require perfectly frame-locked output — visual simulation, broadcast production, or dense video wall deployments — this board eliminates the tearing and timing drift that occur when independent GPUs render asynchronously. It connects directly to compatible Quadro graphics cards and coordinates genlock/framelock signals so every display updates on the same vertical sync pulse.

Compatibility

The 1WT20AA is compatible with HP Z440, HP Z640, and HP Z840 Workstations. These are the three supported HP workstation platforms — do not assume compatibility with other Z-series towers or mobile workstations. The board pairs with NVIDIA Quadro GPUs that expose a Sync connector; verify your installed Quadro card supports Quadro Sync II before ordering. The NVIDIA Quadro Sync II generation is distinct from the original Quadro Sync board and is not cross-compatible with older Quadro Sync hardware.

Installation Notes

The board installs inside the workstation chassis and connects via a dedicated Sync header on the Quadro GPU — this is not a PCIe card occupying a standard expansion slot, so slot availability is not the constraint; GPU header availability is. Verify your Quadro GPU has an exposed Sync II header before purchasing. Weight is 1.0 lb; dimensions are 2.50 × 3.00 × 4.00 in, fitting within the Z-series internal bay envelope. Country of origin is CN.
