The HPE 455883-B21 is a 10Gb SR SFP+ transceiver module designed for short-reach, high-speed network connections over multi-mode fiber. It enables 10 Gigabit Ethernet speeds, making it suitable for server-to-switch or switch-to-switch links within a rack or across a data center floor. This module utilizes an 850nm wavelength for transmission and features an LC duplex connector.
This SFP+ transceiver is compatible with HPE BladeSystem c-Class servers and switches that support the 10GBASE-SR standard. It is designed to interface with multi-mode fiber optic cabling, providing a 10 Gigabit Ethernet connection up to 400 meters. Ensure your host system has an available SFP+ slot.
Install the transceiver into an available SFP+ port on your HPE BladeSystem server or switch. Ensure the multi-mode fiber optic cable is properly terminated with LC duplex connectors and has no sharp bends that exceed the minimum bend radius. The module operates at 850nm wavelength.
