Overview

The Honeywell HA70SB5 is a smoked dome bubble built for the 70s series in-ceiling PTZ camera line. It replaces a cracked, scratched, or clouded bubble on an existing installation, or outfits a new in-ceiling PTZ mount where a low-visibility smoked cover is preferred over clear. The smoked tint obscures the camera's pan and tilt position from the room below — useful in retail, lobby, and casino-style deployments where you don't want occupants tracking where the lens is pointed.

Compatibility

The HA70SB5 fits Honeywell's 70s series in-ceiling PTZ dome cameras. Confirm your specific 70s series model number before ordering, since dome bubbles are typically molded to match the housing diameter and mounting ring of a specific camera generation — a bubble from a different series will not seat or seal correctly even if it looks similar.

Installation Notes

Replace the bubble with the PTZ head powered down to avoid triggering pan/tilt motion while the housing is open. Handle the smoked bubble by its edges — the tinted coating can show fingerprints and scratches more readily than clear polycarbonate, and visible marks directly degrade image contrast and IR performance if the unit is IR-equipped. Reseat the bubble fully into its mounting ring before securing to maintain the housing's environmental seal.
