Overview

The 6160RFC is a wired or wireless alpha keypad designed to expand a VISTA control panel's wireless device capacity without requiring additional wiring or sacrificing hardwired zones. The integrated 5881ENH wireless receiver allows it to handle up to 5800-series wireless devices (motion sensors, door/window contacts, wireless keypads like the 5828/5828V) in a single package. This solves a real installation constraint: adding wireless coverage to a VISTA system that has already consumed its receiver slots. The 32-character illuminated display shows system status, entry/exit delays, and zone events in real-time. The contoured removable door conceals soft-touch keys and keeps the white faceplate clean between use.

Compatibility

The 6160RFC integrates with Honeywell VISTA control panel series. It supports all 5800-series wireless devices, including secondary wireless keypads (5828 and 5828V models). Confirm your VISTA panel model accepts the 6160RF keypad firmware variant before ordering—compatibility varies between VISTA-20P, VISTA-50P, VISTA-250BPT, and similar generations. The wireless receiver function does not replace a primary RF receiver but extends device capacity by allowing this keypad to act as a secondary receiver point within the system.

Installation Notes

The 6160RFC's integrated design eliminates the need for separate receiver modules or additional zone wiring. Mount it on a wall or desk surface near the control panel; use the included colored adhesive labels to mark function key assignments (fire, burglary, personal emergency, etc.). The four programmable function keys remain accessible even when the removable door is closed, enabling one-touch emergency or bypass functions.
