The Geovision 84-SD2200S-3011 is a 2MP outdoor PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom) camera designed for perimeter and long-distance surveillance where optical magnification matters. The 30x optical zoom lens with a 4.3–129mm focal range lets you frame subjects at distance without sacrificing resolution — critical when you need to count faces or read license plates at the gate, not just detect motion. Built for outdoor environments, it operates on AC24V power (adaptor not included) and integrates directly into IP-based security networks via standard network cabling.
Compatibility
The 84-SD2200S-3011 is a standalone PTZ camera compatible with any IP video management system that supports IPCAM-class devices over standard Ethernet. It pairs with network video recorders and IP surveillance platforms that accept generic ONVIF-compatible streams. AC24V supply must be sourced separately — confirm your site has AC power within range of the camera mount, as this model does not support PoE.
Installation Notes
AC24V power must be run to the camera location; no PoE option simplifies some outdoor runs (separate transformer) but requires dedicated AC infrastructure. Outdoor mounting must account for wind loading on the pan-tilt head — ensure structural support is rated for the unit's weight and torque envelope during movement. Confirm cable trays or conduit routing for both network (Ethernet) and AC24V power before final positioning. The 30x zoom mechanism is motorized; test full pan-tilt and zoom range after installation to verify smooth operation and absence of mechanical binding.
