Description

Geovision 84-LX43V-160 Compact DVR V3 ACC Version

Overview

The Geovision 84-LX43V-160 is a 4-channel analog DVR purpose-built for mobile and field surveillance where compact size and analog-only input matter. The ACC (accessory) version accepts composite (CVBS) analog video feeds only — no IP camera support — making it ideal for retrofitting existing analog camera systems, temporary event security, construction site monitoring, or asset protection deployments. H.264 compression reduces file size during extended recording shifts without requiring external storage infrastructure. The form factor accommodates vehicle mounting, mobile command centers, or portable shelters where space is constrained.

Compatibility

The 84-LX43V-160 integrates with standard NTSC or PAL composite analog security cameras across all four independent channels. Accepts RG-59 or better shielded coaxial cabling for analog video lines. Not compatible with IP cameras, megapixel analog (HDcctv), or any digital camera standard. Works with Geovision VMS platforms that accept analog DVR network feeds via Ethernet or direct connection. Confirm your VMS supports analog DVR playback and streaming before deployment.

Installation Notes

Analog video requires shielded coaxial cable (RG-59 minimum) to minimize signal degradation over distance. No PoE requirement — powered via standard DC supply. In low-bandwidth field environments, verify available Ethernet capacity before configuring H.264 network streaming; continuous 4-channel analog at VGA or QVGA resolution consumes meaningful bandwidth. Compact footprint fits tight vehicle or shelter mounting; use vibration-damping mounts for mobile platforms to protect internal storage and connectors during transit.
