Geovision GV-IPDECO-89 IP Decoder Box
Overview
The Geovision GV-IPDECO-89 is an IP-to-analog decoder that bridges network cameras to legacy analog display equipment. If you have existing analog monitors or display infrastructure on-site, this accessory lets you deploy IP cameras without replacing installed hardware—a cost-effective retrofit path for staged network migrations or facilities with long monitor lifecycles.
The GV-IPDECO-89 receives IP video streams, decodes them, and outputs analog video to standard monitors. It handles H.265 and H.264 streams, supports ONVIF-compliant cameras, and draws power via PoE (802.3af), eliminating the need for a separate power adapter in most installations.
Compatibility
Works with Geovision IP camera systems and any ONVIF-compliant network camera. Suitable for mixed analog-IP environments where legacy monitors, DVRs, or matrix switches require analog video input. Ideal for retrofit installations where replacing analog display infrastructure is not feasible.
Supports up to 8 MP resolution streams, H.265 and H.264 compression, and integrates into existing analog video distribution (composite video output to standard BNC connectors). If your cameras are ONVIF-compliant and your display chain uses analog inputs, this decoder bridges the gap without VMS overhead.
Installation Notes
Draws under 13W via standard 802.3af PoE—no separate power supply required in most network environments, though the datasheet notes that PoE and DC power cannot be connected simultaneously. Connect the analog output to your legacy monitor or matrix switch via composite or component video. Mount the compact box form factor near the display equipment or in a network cabinet. Supports ONVIF protocol for camera discovery and stream management, reducing manual IP address configuration.
