Geovision GV-BATBOX Battery Box
Overview
The GV-BATBOX is a battery enclosure designed to integrate uninterruptible power supply (UPS) functionality into Geovision surveillance systems. The unit ships without batteries, allowing integrators to source and install backup power cells matched to runtime and load requirements. This modularity eliminates oversizing and reduces cost when system scale varies across installations.
Compatibility
The GV-BATBOX works with Geovision DVR, NVR, and IP camera systems requiring backup power protection. It integrates with Geovision control center software and video management platforms to provide coordinated power failover. Confirm the specific power requirements and connector type of your DVR/NVR before selection — the enclosure itself houses battery cells but does not include charging or distribution circuits.
Installation Notes
Indoor installation only — mount in climate-controlled equipment racks, server closets, or control rooms. Operating temperature range 0°C to 40°C (32°F to 104°F) limits outdoor or unheated deployment. The enclosure dimensions (162.3 × 112.6 × 36.5 mm / 6.4" × 4.4" × 1.4") fit standard 19-inch rack layouts. Coordinate battery selection with your system's DC voltage input and wattage draw — over-sizing adds cost and charging time; undersizing creates runtime shortfalls during extended mains failure.
