Geovision GV-ASBOX AS Box Accessory Housing
Overview
The GV-ASBOX is a networked expansion enclosure for Geovision AS-series access control panels. Deploy this box when your primary AS controller reaches capacity and you need to add door ports, reader inputs, and I/O terminals without replacing the entire system. The GV-ASBOX connects via TCP/IP to compatible Geovision panels — no new wiring infrastructure required for extended controller logic.
Compatibility
The GV-ASBOX pairs with these Geovision AS-series access controllers: GV-AS100, GV-AS110, GV-AS120, GV-AS1010, GV-AS1110, and GV-CS1320. When connected, it unlocks additional I/O capacity — specifically 4 additional Wiegand reader inputs and 2 additional door relay outputs (RS-485/OSDP 1 protocol support). Some models support up to 2 additional doors total when the GV-ASBOX is installed. Confirm your panel model in the compatibility matrix before ordering.
Installation Notes
The GV-ASBOX requires TCP/IP network connectivity to the primary controller. It operates from -10°C to 50°C (14°F to 122°F), suitable for indoor equipment rooms and utility closets. The enclosure is IP54-rated, which means it handles dust and splash in typical commercial environments but is not suitable for outdoor mounting or direct water spray. Power is supplied via PoE+ (802.3at), drawing enough current to necessitate a managed PoE switch rather than passive injectors. Mount the unit on a 19-inch rack or desktop surface where network and power access are straightforward.
