Overview
The Geovision GV-AS4111-84 is a complete, cabinet-mounted access control system designed for rapid deployment across 4 doors. This kit bundles a 32-bit ARM7TDMI control panel, power adapter board, dedicated backup battery case, and a pre-configured microSD card — eliminating component sourcing and reducing installation time. It manages entry and exit via three interface types: Wiegand (card readers), RS-485 (serial devices), and TCP/IP (network connectivity), making it compatible with legacy readers and modern IP systems alike. The system includes 16 digital inputs for door contact, exit buttons, fire sensors, and tamper detection, plus relay outputs for lock control, alarm signaling, and access-grant/deny notifications. The built-in power supply delivers 12V at 0.5A to each of up to 8 output devices — sufficient for electromagnetic locks, strike plates, and request-to-exit buttons on a typical 4-door deployment. UL 294 certification confirms compliance with standard access control panel safety requirements.
Compatibility
The GV-AS4111-84 kit contains two firmware variants: GV-AS4111 Local (firmware V1.00–V2.82) managed via GV-ASManager software, and GV-AS4111 Cloud (firmware V3.00 or later) designed for cloud-based access control via GV-Cloud Access Control. The Local variant supports 24 digital outputs; the Cloud variant supports 16 outputs and adds OSDP (Open Supervised Device Protocol) communication over RS-485 for next-generation reader integration. Both models control doors, parking gates, and elevator call button access. TCP/IP connectivity allows integration with Geovision IP camera systems and the GV-Cloud Bridge for event-triggered snapshots and live view on access events.
Installation Notes
Operating temperature range is 0–65 °C (32–149 °F) — suitable for indoor environments and temperature-controlled closets but not exposed outdoor cabinets. The unit draws 10/100 Ethernet for network communication. Battery wiring (included) connects the replaceable button-cell backup battery, which maintains tamper detection and I/O status during power loss. Mount the cabinet using the six iron box screws included; route wiring through the supplied self-adhesive cable tie mounts. A 2 GB microSD card arrives pre-formatted and inserted, ready for event logging and configuration storage.
