Overview
The Geovision GV-AS4111-590 is a four-door access control panel kit designed for small to mid-sized commercial and institutional deployments. It arrives as a complete cabinet containing the GV-AS4111 control panel, power adapter board, regulated power supply (delivering 12V at 0.5A per device across 8 outputs), and backup battery case — eliminating component sourcing delays. The GV-AS4111-590 ships with a 2GB micro SD card pre-formatted and installed, allowing immediate event logging without additional storage setup. This is the Local model variant, compatible with GV-ASManager software (V4.2.3 or later) for on-premises management. If you need cloud-based integration with snapshot and live-view transmission to GV-Cloud upon access events, the GV-AS4111 Cloud variant is available separately.
Compatibility
The GV-AS4111-590 supports three credential and reader interface types: Wiegand (standard for card readers), RS-485 (for advanced readers and multi-device daisy chains), and TCP/IP (for IP-based reader integration). It controls one-way or two-way access across four independent door points. The 16 digital inputs accommodate door contacts, exit buttons, fire sensor inputs, and tamper detection — expanding beyond basic door lock control to support alarm signaling and life-safety integration. The panel outputs 24 relays on the Local model, enabling lock strike control, alarm relay activation, and access-granted/access-denied signaling. Compatible with standard electric strikes, magnetic locks, and parking gate controllers. Integrates with GV-ASManager for centralized credential and event management across multiple sites.
Installation Notes
The cabinet mounts to wall (recessed or surface-mounted). Operating temperature range is 0°C to 65°C (32°F to 149°F) — suitable for climate-controlled indoor environments. The 32-bit ARM7TDMI processor handles real-time door control and event logging without external compute. Power draw depends on connected devices; the integrated supply handles 8 outputs at 0.5A each. Backup battery uses replaceable button cells (wiring included). The cabinet includes an iron box key for secure access to terminals and components. All wiring connections use industry-standard terminal blocks — no proprietary connectors.
