Overview
The GV-MOUNT908 is a purpose-built in-ceiling mounting solution for the Geovision GV-SD220-S IP speed dome. This kit solves the deployment problem of securely anchoring an outdoor PTZ dome to a drop ceiling or structural ceiling in indoor spaces where overhead mounting is required—common in conference rooms, auditoriums, and institutional facilities. The complete assembly carries a maximum load of 6.75 kg (14.88 lb), so ceiling framing capacity is your primary constraint.
Compatibility
Designed exclusively for the Geovision GV-SD220-S IP Speed Dome (outdoor variant). The mounting plate dimensions are 227 x 286 mm. If you are installing a different Geovision speed dome model, verify compatibility with your camera's documentation before ordering—this kit is not interchangeable across the GV-SD series without confirmation.
Installation Notes
Assembly requires drilling the ceiling to the specified dimensions (use the supplied installation sticker as a guide). The kit provides M6 screws (qty. 4) to secure the housing cap to the mounting plate, and M4 screws (qty. 2) for camera attachment. The dome cable threads through the mounting plate and housing cap before the camera is rotated into final position. All four camera mounting screws must be tightened evenly with the supplied hex key to ensure balanced load distribution. Verify your ceiling structure can support the full 6.75 kg assembly before installation. The housing cap orientation matters—it must fit tightly to the mounting plate before securing.
