Geovision GV-LC10 SFP Transceiver
Overview
The Geovision GV-LC10 is a 1000BaseLX SFP transceiver that converts copper Ethernet into single-mode fiber (SMF) connectivity. It plugs directly into the SFP port of compatible Geovision PoE switches, bridging the gap between your switch infrastructure and fiber-optic camera runs. Use this when you need to extend PoE delivery across long distances or electrically isolate camera circuits from your main network — fiber immunity to EMI and lightning makes this the right choice for parking lots, rooftop arrays, or industrial sites with heavy electrical noise.
Compatibility
The GV-LC10 works with these Geovision PoE switch models: GV-APOE0410-E, GV-POE0801, GV-APOE0811, GV-POE0811, GV-APOE0811-V2, GV-POE0811-V2, GV-APOE081C, GV-POE0812, GV-APOE1611, GV-POE1601, GV-APOE1611-V2, GV-POE1601-V2, GV-APOE2411, GV-POE2401, GV-APOE2411-V2, GV-POE2401-V2, GV-APOE4813, GV-POE0410-E-V2, GV-POE2411, and GV-POE2411-V2. The transceiver is hot-swappable — insert or remove it without powering down the switch. Pair it with a matching LC-connector fiber cable and a corresponding SFP module on the far end (or SFP-to-Ethernet converter) to complete your run.
Installation Notes
The GV-LC10 operates between 0°C and 70°C (32°F to 158°F). It uses standard SMF cable with 9 µm core and supports distances up to 20 km (65,616 ft) — suitable for campus or distributed facility deployments. TX power ranges from −9 to −3 dBm and RX sensitivity reaches −23 dBm maximum, providing reliable signal over long runs. CE, FCC, and RoHS certified. Align the LC connector carefully and seat the transceiver fully into the switch SFP slot to ensure optical coupling.
