Panduit FSDX80-8-D Expanded Ferrule
Overview
The Panduit FSDX80-8-D is a blue, expanded ferrule designed for terminating single wires up to 14 AWG (2.5 mm²). Its polypropylene insulation and funnel entry streamline wire insertion, reducing installation time and cost. The seamless sleeve design effectively captures loose wire strands, ensuring a more reliable connection in terminal blocks. This specific ferrule offers a pin length of 8mm (0.31 inches), making it suitable for various terminal blocks.
Compatibility
This ferrule is designed for use with specific Panduit crimping tools and terminal blocks, including CT-1002, CT-1003, CT-1090, CT-1123, CT-1160, CT-1170, CT-2300/ST with CD-090, CT-2500/L (CT-2523CH), CTFP-25, and CTFP-40. It meets DIN 46228 standards for dimensional and color coding of single wire enclosures.
Installation Notes
The ferrule features a UL94-HB flammability rating, indicating it self-extinguishes. Its galvanized finish coating provides basic corrosion resistance.
