Panduit FSDX80-12-D Expanded Ferrule Sleeve
Overview
The Panduit FSDX80-12-D is a blue, expanded ferrule sleeve designed for terminating single wires. It features a polypropylene insulation and a seamless barrel construction, ensuring a secure connection by capturing loose wire strands. The funnel entry design speeds up wire insertion, reducing installation time and costs. This ferrule is intended for use with 14 AWG (2.5 mm²) wire and has a pin length of 0.47 inches (12.0 mm), making it suitable for terminal blocks with corresponding pin dimensions.
Compatibility
This ferrule is designed for use with specific Panduit crimping tools including the CT-1002, CT-1003, CT-1090, CT-1123, CT-1160, CT-1170, CT-2300/ST with CD-090, CT-2500/L (CT-2523CH), CTFP-25, and CTFP-40. It is also compatible with terminal blocks requiring the specified pin length and wire gauge.
Installation Notes
The ferrule meets DIN standards for dimensions and color-coding of single wire enclosures. Its UL94-HB flammability rating indicates it will burn at a slow rate when exposed to flame. The galvanized finish provides corrosion resistance. Proper tool selection is critical for secure termination.
