Description

Middle Atlantic QTFP-2 3U Rack Fan Panel, 100 CFM

Overview

The Middle Atlantic QTFP-2 is a 3U active rack fan panel designed to exhaust heat from enclosed rack bays housing AV, security, and networking equipment. Running on 120 VAC and moving 100 CFM, it fits the common scenario where a rack enclosure full of NVRs, switches, or amplifiers is trapping heat and throttling hardware. At 2 inches deep, the QTFP-2 installs into any open 3U slot without consuming disproportionate rack space. The textured black powder coat finish matches standard Middle Atlantic rack furniture. Mounts via 2 mounting points into a standard 19-inch rack rail — no custom hardware required.

Compatibility

Fits any standard EIA 19-inch, 3U rack opening. Directly compatible with Middle Atlantic rack enclosures including the BGR, ERK, and WMRK series, as well as any third-party rack conforming to EIA-310 19-inch rail spacing. Pairs naturally with equipment that generates sustained heat loads: NVRs, PoE switches, video decoders, and amplifiers. Intended for indoor AC-powered installations only — 120 VAC power required; not rated for international voltage. Not suitable for DC-powered enclosures or outdoor deployments. For broader thermal management planning in rack builds, verify total BTU load before specifying a single panel versus a multi-fan configuration.

Installation Notes

Requires a standard 120 VAC outlet or switched outlet strip inside or adjacent to the rack. The unit is 2 inches deep — confirm rear clearance in shallow-depth enclosures before ordering. Two mounting points secure the panel to standard rack rails; no special tooling required beyond a standard screwdriver. Not available for international shipment — US installations only per manufacturer specification.
